Cleveland Chinese Music Ensemble 3The Kent Free Library will host the Cleveland Chinese Music Ensemble for a free concert celebrating the Chinese New Year on Sunday, January 19 at 2:30 p.m.

The Ensemble will present a program of graceful and festive music, including several pieces about horses, as this is the Year of the Horse, interspersed with historical Chinese stories and poems about horses.

Formed in the fall of 2008, the Ensemble plays on an assortment of traditional Chinese musical instruments, including bamboo flutes, mouth organs, fiddles, lutes, gongs, drums, cymbals, and other percussion. They even invite audience members to try out some instruments on a few numbers.

No registration is required for this all-ages program. For more information, please contact the Information Desk at 330-673-4414.
