DaleDale Galgozy and Sam Rettman will present a free concert of original country-blues songs on Sunday, May 18 at 2:00 pm.  This guitar/harmonica duo will perform everything from the uplifting country ballad “In The Right Way” to the twisting sounds of “Lone Star Blues” and everything in between.
Sam Rettman is a master on the harmonica, from traditional blues to Appalachian fiddle tunes. Sam has been playing for over 40 years in a variety of bands: Chicago blues bands, Zydeco bands, off-Broadway in the pit band. His influences are varied, but no doubt the music of  Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee was the spark that got Sam to play the harmonica.
Dale Galgozy is a songwriter, guitar teacher, and music documentary filmmaker.  Influenced by his family–his mother was winning awards at age 7 for her accordion playing and his father was playing Standbaugh Auditorium at age 16–Dale began playing guitar and writing songs at age 13 and his first live performance was at 16.  As a young adult he was in demand by local songwriters for his guitar playing.  Doing session work in the 1980s led to Clive Davis auditioning his band’s demo in New York City.  Galgozy has been Artist in Residence at Western Reserve Academy and the Ohio Arts Council.
