Create and Discover
@ Your Library!
The Kent Free Library will again offer a Summer Reading Program for adults starting Monday, June 2 and running through August 29. “Create & Discover @ Your Library” gives adults chances to win prizes just for using the library, with a grand prize of an iPad Mini.
According to Adult Services Manager Melissa Ziminsky, adults may earn entries for weekly prizes and the grand prize by reading and reviewing books or attending library events.
“Read a book or listen to an audiobook, then stop by the Information Desk to fill out a brief review to earn an entry form,” says Ziminsky. She notes that readers can choose to have their review shared with the community on the library’s website.
In addition, the library will offer nearly 30 programs or events, ranging from making crafts and learning to write songs, to book clubs and presentations on couponing, brain health, and the Beatles. Attending a program also earns an entry form.
“Kent is a creative and curious community,” says Ziminsky, who notes that the varied line up of programs offers something for just about everyone.
