The Friends of Kent Free Library will hold a sale Thursday, April 20 – Sunday, April 23. The sale will take place in the basement of the library.
For sale will be books, audiobooks, music CDs, and DVDs for adults, children, and young adults. Items have been discarded from the library’s collection and donated by community members.
Sale hours are:
Thursday, April 20 from 5 – 8 pm, Members Preview Sale. Current Friends of KFL members are invited to a special sale preview. Memberships may be purchased at the door. Memberships are $5 for an Individual, $10 for a Family, and $3 for Seniors and Students.
Friday, April 21 from 10 am – 5 pm
Saturday, April 22 from 10 am – 4 pm
Sunday, April 23 from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm, Donation Day. Take as many items as you’d like for a monetary donation to the Friends.
Cash and credit card are accepted. All sales are final. All proceeds go to the Friends of Kent Free Library to be used in support of the Kent Free Library.
Calling all teens in grades 9-12 who are interested in attending college! Do you have questions about how to apply, write application essays, or where to find scholarships? Bring your questions to the library to have them answered by KSU Admissions Counselor, David Profusek. Registration required, begins Apr 13.
Local author Chas Madonio talks about his book Bars, Bands and Rock n’ Roll: The Golden Era in Kent, Ohio on Thursday, April 6. Chas recounts his experiences in and around the music scene of Kent in the ’60s and ’70s, including his time in a band with Joe Walsh. Copies of his book will be for sale after the program and Chas will be available to sign.
Theresa Nielsen, Deputy Director of the Portage County Board of Elections, presents a free and open program about recent changes to election law.
