Mon., March 11 at 4 pm: Solar Eclipse Family Workshop

Join in on the Total Eclipse (April 8!) excitement by spending some time learning what solar eclipses are all about! During this one hour program we will explore eclipses together, in a kid friendly way, with the goal of gaining some understanding of this once in a lifetime phenomenon! For families with children in grades K – 5.  Please only register for one time slot of this program. For Families with children in grades K – 5.

Sat., Mar. 2 at 10 am: Baby and Toddler Play Date

Play is a great way to help your babies and toddlers learn! Families with newborn to three year old children are invited to join us in the Meeting Room for an unstructured play date. Registration is required and begins one week in advance.

Wed., Feb. 28 at 7 pm: Creative Crafters: Wet Felting

Learn the wet felting technique. Ages 18+ welcome to attend. Registration begins on Wednesday, February 21 at 9:00 am.  For adults 18+.  Attendees should bring 3 absorbent kitchen towels.

This is a repeat of the January program.  If you registered for the January program (not including wait list), you may not also register for this program regardless of whether you attended.  Any repeat registrants will be removed from the list.

Tue., Feb. 27 at 7 pm: What the 2020 Census Says about Kent

How have the demographics in Kent changed over the last few decades? What can these changes say about what Kent will look like in years to come? How can this knowledge help organizations and small businesses plan for the future?

Tim Sarko, Data Dissemination Specialist with the US Census Bureau guides us through the resources available for free on the census website and talks about the trends he sees. Learn how to find and interpret the data to get a better understanding of your service area.

Sat., Feb. 17 from 10 am to 12 pm: Preschool Fair

Visit the Kent Free Library meeting room to learn more about local preschools in Kent. Representatives will be available to visit with you and tell you about their program’s curriculum, tuition, program philosophies and more! Registration is not required.
