Bob Grau, author of Five Million Steps on a Journey of Hope: Thru-Hiking the Appalachian Trail, will give a discussion on his experience hiking the Appalachian Trail on Monday, September 16 at 7:00 pm.

A non-hiker, Grau began his journey in 2011, and completed the 2,181 mile hike in 170 days. Learn about Grau’s unusual personal story, the history of the trail, and the equipment and gear he used to make the journey. He will show photos taken along the trail, and take questions from the audience. Copies of his book will be available for purchase from the Kent Free Library Foundation.
