The library is a venue for the Kent State ‘Round Town Music Festival!  Enjoy a free Student Showcase concert on Friday, September 20 at 3:30 pm.

Under the instruction of Dale Galgozy, student musicians Libby Etherton, Aaron Leclerc, Iris Murphy, Dominic Sanzone, and Katherine Billock will fill the library with music.

All ages are welcome and no registration is required.

Dominic Sanzone

Dominic is 13 years old and is an 8th grader at Stanton Middle School. Dom has been taking guitar lessons for four years. He enjoys playing various types of music but his favorites include Rock n’ Roll and Blues. He has also played some Classical guitar music.

Dominic participates in Woodsy’s Rock School and has been the lead guitar for several of his bands. He participated in Folk Festival in 2012 and was honored to be asked to return in 2013.

Dom also rides a dirt bike and enjoys spending time with his Dad doing both track and trail riding. Dominic hopes to turn his love for guitar and music into a career in the future.

Libby Etherton

Libby is an exciting 14 year old singer and multi-instrumentalist with an amazing performance history for a young entertainer. Since the age of eleven she has performed as a soloist more than seventy times at schools, churches and outdoor events. She performs a wide variety of material encompassing contemporary pop and country along with some timeless classics.

In the last year she performed as a finalist in the 2013 Canton Idol Competition, at the 2013 Teens Rock Akron Concert, Canton Rib Burn Off, the Columbiana County fair, Louisville’s Constitution days and at many First Friday Art walk venues in Canton. In addition to singing and playing piano, guitar and ukulele, Libby is an aspiring photographer specializing in landscape and floral photos.

A motivated student beginning Lake High School this year, Libby also enjoys volunteering at Adventure Place childcare and the support crew for Habitat for Humanity.

Katherine Billock

Katherine is a student at Rootstown Middle School and has been playing guitar for almost 2 years. She loves music and singing as well. Katherine most enjoys reading books, drawing, and playing with her younger sister when she’s not singing and playing her guitar. Overall, Katherine seeks the best in people and in living every day. She has found that music is a great way for her to express that to everyone around her.
