Folk singer and radio host Matt Watroba will present a free lecture/concert, “The Power of the Folk Song” on Sunday, November 17 at 2 pm.
Watroba will combine his knowledge and talents to paint a musical landscape of the amazing stories and characters wrapped up in the music of the people. Expect to listen, laugh, and sing during this special music event.
Watroba is the Producer/Announcer at WKSU FolkAlley.com at Kent State University. For over 25 years, he has been learning about and sharing American folk music through his radio work, and through hundreds of performances in concerts, schools, libraries, church basements, senior centers–any place where folks gather in community.
All ages are welcome to attend this free program and no registration is required.
