Families are invited to get ready for the 87th Annual Academy Awards by coming to a Pre-Oscar party at the library on Sunday, February 22 at 1:30 pm.
When you arrive, walk the red carpet, have your picture taken in the paparazzi photo-booth, and enjoy movie-themed games and free refreshments.
At 2 pm, sit down for a screening of an Oscar-nominated movie projected on the meeting room’s oversized screen. Because of licensing restrictions, the library cannot publish the title of the movie, but it’s about Hiccup and Toothless discovering an ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, and finding themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace.
No registration is required for this free event. Stop at the second floor Information Desk 30 minutes prior to the event for a pass. Hurray for Hollywood!
