Celebrate Chinese New Year (belatedly) with a free concert by the Cleveland Chinese Music Ensemble on Sunday, March 15 at 2 p.m. The Ensemble will present a program of graceful and festive music, interspersed with historical Chinese stories and poems, especially about this year’s symbol, the Goat.
Formed in the fall of 2008, the Ensemble plays on an assortment of traditional Chinese musical instruments, including bamboo flutes, mouth organs, fiddles,
lutes, gongs, drums, cymbals, and other percussion. They even invite audience members to try out some instruments on a few numbers.
