Aaron Krerowicz, the only full-time professional Beatles scholar in America, returns on Sunday, August 16 at 2 p.m. to present ‘From the Shadow of JFK: The Rise of Beatlemania in America.’
According to Krerowicz, February 1964 was the single most important month of the Beatles’ entire career, firmly establishing Beatlemania in the United States with three performances on The Ed Sullivan Show. Krerowicz’s multimedia program puts the Beatles’ first U.S. visit in historical context, with particular emphasis on the recent assassination of John F. Kennedy and how that tragedy actually helped Beatlemania flourish.
