mindmuscleThe Northeast Ohio Medical University will offer a free program on brain-muscle interfaces and new technologies in movement and regeneration on Tuesday, September 29 at 6:30 pm.

Come learn about recent advancements in implanted microchip stimulators that induce new muscle activity in cardiac, smooth and skeletal muscle cells.  Harvested adult stem cells and laser-printer generated scaffolds that hold promise for creating entire new organs like a heart, will also be discussed.

Preserved hearts, skeletal muscles and examples of smooth muscle harvested from the human gastrointestinal tract will be available for viewing and handling.
