Everyone who joined the Friends of Kent Free Library last year or who is interested in joining this year is invited to the Annual Meeting on Monday, February 20 at 7:00 pm in the 2nd floor meeting room. The doors will open at 6:30 pm for a dessert reception, with the meeting beginning at 7:00 pm.During the reception, Friends will be able to signup/renew their annual membership, consider volunteer opportunities that need support, and take advantage of a Member Only special to purchase a Library tote bag at cost – just $5! (cash or check only, please).
At the meeting, the Friends Board will update everyone on the status of our group, discuss plans for 2017 and vote on 2017 Friends Board members who will guide the group for the year. Members will also vote on two proposed Amendments to the Constitution/Bylaws.
Both the slate of nominees and the Amendments are available at the library information desk and on the Friends page of the library website to preview. Please note, that attendees must be a current 2017 paid member in order to participate in the voting.
Several awards for outstanding 2016 Volunteers will also be awarded.
