Hidden in Plain Sight LogoBuild a better world through proactive parenting.

Looks can be deceiving. That’s the message behind a unique traveling exhibit called “Hidden in Plain Sight” created by the Bath and Copley Township Police Departments.

The departments will construct the bedroom of a typical teenager. But amidst the clutter of clothing scattered on the floor, school supplies on a desk, and personal care products on a vanity are more than 150 items that can actually be signals that a young person could be involved in risky, dangerous, and even illegal activity.

The audience is encouraged to explore and interact with items in the display which may be indicative that a teenager is involved in substance abuse, underage drinking, eating disorders, sexual activity, and more.

Doors to the exhibit in the library’s 2nd floor meeting room open for browsing at 5:45 pm. A presentation will begin at 6:15 pm. The exhibit is open to adults only. There is no charge for admittance. Attendees are welcome to drop in during the program if they cannot be there from the start.
Participants will be enlightened, educated and astonished.

Registration is requested and begins May 24. Please call the library’s Information Desk at 330.673.4414. Spaces are limited.
