Enjoy a free screening of an environmental film followed by a discussion. The evening is cosponsored by the City of Kent Sustainability Commission and Standing Rock Cultural Arts.
March’s film is about Vico Gutierrez, a Mexican film maker and pilot of a light aircraft glider, named Papalotzin (which means royal butterfly in the Nahuatl language) who, with the help of his crew of four, followed the monarch butterflies on their migration from Canada to Mexico in the Fall of 2005. His trip was sponsored by World Wildlife Fund/Mexico, the State of Michoacan Government, and Telcel, Mexico, along with the help of many butterfly friends all along the route. (Due to licensing restrictions, the library cannot publish the titles of the movies that will be shown.)
No Registration is required.
