Hayes-Nelson

Storytelling is a vehicle by which history and traditions are passed from one generation to the next. Storytelling breathes life into the past and gives the listener a sense of belonging and an understanding of what came before. Dr. Geraldine Hayes-Nelson, President of the Portage County NAACP, leads a celebration of Black History Month with an evening of storytellers who will share their stories reflecting the ever changing African American community in Portage County.

For adults ages 18 and up.  No registration necessary.
