Featuring poet and singer Mwatabu Okantah, pianist/keyboard artist Vince Robinson, guitarist Ismail Douglass,drummer Chuck Orange, and bassist Glenn Holmes, this unique collaboration gives meaning to the old saying, “Word sounds have power!” The music is eclectic and swings from African inspired rhythms to gospel, through the blues, straight ahead jazz, p-funk into a hard driving roots reggae groove. Baba Okantah likes to say [their music] “ain’t hip hop, but it’s hip!”
