The Board of Trustees is responsible for governance and overseeing library service provision to meet the needs of residents in the Kent City School District.  Per the Ohio Revised Code, Board members are appointed by the Kent City School’s Board of Education for a seven-year term and receive no monetary compensation.

If you are interested in serving on the library’s Board of Trustees applications are requested annually in September. Those interested should:

• Feel passionate about the role of public libraries in the community
• Support intellectual freedom and access to information for everyone
• Want to ensure the continued excellence of the library
• Recognize the importance of funding, facilities, and great employees to serve the community 
• Enjoy working with a group of like-minded people  

 

Applications are available now and are due by 5 PM on Monday, October 14, 2024.
