Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2:00 pm: Concert Series: 732 The Electric Duo

Glenn Armstrong and Mary Spayd are knows as 732 The Electric Duo, covering a wide range of popular artists from the 1970s through the 1990s. Listen to Mary’s extensive range and flexibility on vocals and Glenn on bass guitar as they play mellow classic and soft rock. No registration required. All ages are welcome. The concert will be held on the second floor balcony.

The Concert Series is generously supported by the Friends of Kent Free Library.

Saturday, Nov. 5 at 10:00 am: LGBTQ+ Safe Space Ally Training

As part of the Better Communication = Better Communities Series, the KSU LGBTQ+ Center will offer Safe Space Ally Training.  This training aims to equip community members with the tools for creating Safe Spaces and welcoming environments for LGBTQ+ people. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the LGBTQ+ community, find resources, and obtain the basics for making a difference in their own sphere of influence.  Registration required starting Saturday, October 22 at 9:00 am.  Adults 18+.

Monday, Oct. 31, 7:00 pm: Frankentoys Workshop

Teens in grades 6-12 can create their own Frankentoy Creation! Combine mismatched toys to make your own creepy creation to take home! Supplies and instruction provided. Registration begins one week in advance.

Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11:00 am or 12:00 pm

Families are invited to assemble and decorate a Haunted Gingerbread house together! Limit one house per family. All supplies will be provided.  Registration is required and begins October 22 at 9:00 am. Please register once per family.

Monday, Oct. 24, 7:00 pm: Haunted Ohio

Richele Charlton and Debbie Clemens of Kent Ghost Walk share an evening of Haunted Kent stories! The evening will include tales of supernatural happenings blended with Kent history. For grades 6 – 12.
