Not only can you pick up a Voter Registration and Information Update Form and Absentee Ballot Application at the library, but the library will deliver your completed forms to the Board of Elections in Ravenna. You will need either your Ohio Driver’s License or the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.

The last day to register to vote or change your address for the November 3 General Election is Monday, October 5.

Requests for an Absentee Ballot must be received by the local county board of elections by noon on Saturday, October 31 for the November 3 election. To have the library deliver the form for you, it must be turned in to the Information Desk by 6:00 pm on Friday, October 30. All Ohio voters whose registration information is up-to-date may vote in any election by requesting an absentee ballot. Ballots will begin to be mailed to voters on October 6.

Completed Absentee Ballots must be mailed to the Portage County Board of Elections, 449 S Meridian St #101, Ravenna, OH 44266 and must be postmarked no later than the day before the election and received by the board of elections no later than 10 days after the election. Absentee Ballots may also be delivered by the voter or his or her “near relative” to a drop box at the county board of elections at 448 South Meridian by 7:30 pm on Election Day.
