StoryWalk at Al Lease Park

We are delighted to announce the installation of an all-new, permanent StoryWalk® in Kent at Al Lease Park. The StoryWalk® was created in partnership with Kent Parks and Recreation and made possible by a generous gift from the Friends of Kent Free Library.

A StoryWalk combines literacy with physical activity, placing large book pages at regular intervals along a walking path, encouraging visitors to walk (or run, or skip, or hop) as they read the book, enjoy the pictures, and follow activity prompts along the way.

Find the start of the StoryWalk® near the playground. Then, follow the path around the lake to read the story.

Beginning September 15, 2024 the featured book is:

It’s Fall by Renee Kurilla

StoryWalk® books will be switched seasonally.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Kellog-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
