Library support library services and programs. If you are interested in joining this volunteer group, please complete a Membership Form and return it to the library with payment. Payments may be cash or check made out to Friends of Kent Free Library.

The Spring Friends Book Sale will be held:
Friends of Kent Free Library will meet on dates below. Meetings are open to the public and subject to change.
Monday, April 15 at 7:00 pm
Monday, June 17 at 7:00 pm
Monday, August 19 at 7:00 pm
Monday, October 21 at 7:00 pm
You may volunteer at other times, but there must be 2 volunteers present at all times. If you have a buddy or 2, you can come and work at any time–you don’t have to follow the scheduled shifts. Just sign in at the Information Desk.

The library accepts donations of items in new or good condition according to the specifications in this policy. The library cannot guarantee that donations will be added to the circulating collection. The library’s Collection Development Policy will determine the acquisition of donated items. Items not added to the collection will be gifted to The Friends of the Kent Free Library for future book sales to raise funds for the library. Leftover book sale items may be recycled or offered to other local organizations and non-profits.
Friends of Kent Free Library Board of Directors
A seven-member Board of Directors governs the Friends of Kent Free Library. Board members are elected annually. The Friends work in collaboration with the library’s Director and Board of Trustees to support programs and services the library offers for the community.
